Annual Dinner – March 30th

The MCHA Social event of the year.  Annual Dinner and Auction are major fund-raisers for MCHA.  Presentation of the “Hospitality Professional of the Year" Award.

Meetings are Monday’s at 4pm – dates selected at each meeting.

Education & Training

Informs, educates and trains members and their employees in basic hospitality principles and current issues relevant to the Hospitality Industry.

Meetings are the 3^rd Friday of each month at 9am at the InterContinental The Clement Monterey.

Governmental Affairs

Minimizes government intervention and maximizes MCHA participation and influence in governmental actions.

Meetings are the 1^st Thursday of each month at 8:30 am at the InterContinental The Clement Monterey.

Ambassador Committee

Focus is on membership development and membership retention. The committee plans various business and social mixers for the leading businesses in Monterey County. It also reaches out to new members and the community as a whole.

Currently meets as needed.

Special Events – these committees have not yet started to meet.

Employee Appreciation Day - June 

Over 1300 employees participate, beginning with daylong activities ranging from kayaking to golf and the day culminates with friendly competitions between hospitality employees followed by awards and a BBQ for employees and their families.

Golf Tournament - October

An opportunity to socialize with fellow MCHA members and guests on one of the five beautiful MCHA golf course member properties.  The tournament is followed by a dinner and awards ceremony.  A major fundraiser for MCHA.

Hospitality Recognition Lunch - November

The Hospitality Recognition Luncheon honors 600 hospitality employees.  Ten finalists including the "Papa Vince" recipient and the Special Achievement Hourly Supervisor recipient are awarded plaques, proclamations and gifts.
