This is a fun day of recreation provided by local businesses that donate FREE activities for the hardworking employees in the hospitality industry to enjoy. The day is a huge MCHA member celebration where staff from Monterey County Hotels, restaurants and businesses will be treated to complimentary kayaking at Monterey Bay Kayaks and Adventures by the Sea; equestrian exploits at Pebble Beach Company, golf from Bayonet and Blackhorse, Quail Lodge Golf Course, whale watching with Chris’ Fishing and Randy’s trips, Monterey Bay Aquarium Tickets, Monterey Sports Center Tickets, and a host of other fun events, including Doug’s Movie Tours.. What better way to say thanks to the hard working individuals in hospitality?
To top off the day, Monterey’s finest General Managers from our local Resorts and restaurants prepare an outstanding gourmet meal for the 1200 expected participants.MCHA members compete to win coveted trophies in categories of Bedmaking, Bartending, Best Featured drink Best Specialty Drink,, Napkin Folding, Bellperson race, Chili Competition and Food Service.
This year Soccer teams will compete for the annual soccer trophy, currently held by the Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa.
So now is the time to make your New Year’s resolution and get your team in practice. The overall winning team will have to compete in five events and will proudly raise the Annual Hospitality Day Trophy for 2010, currently held by team Portola Hotel and Spa.
Tuesday May 25th, 2010, Monterey County Fairgrounds. Monthly meetings begin in February.
Attendance and participants is free. Participants must be MCHA members. Please contact the Committee co-chairs below to volunteer for the day or offer raffle prizes.
