PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE: Dear MCHA Members, What a year of peaks and valleys…and we still have six more months to go!! The tough times of 2009, faced by all, has created one common denominator…making all of us roll up our sleeves and go back to basics. Read how and what we have accomplished in such a short time.

MEMBERSHIP: So far this year we have welcomed in 15 new members including motels, private businesses and individual memberships. Our membership is holding steady at 270 despite some rather tough economic times. Help our membership grow, if you know of someone who could benefit from being involved with MCHA please have him or her call Chidlaw Marketing at 641-0657.

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS: The GA committee tracks issues critical to the near- and long-term viability and vitality of our businesses and our communities and works hard to assure policies implemented at the local level are consistent with that goal. ANNUAL DINNER: Save the Date for the Party of the Year!! MCHA’s Annual Dinner will take place on March 26^th at the beautiful Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa.

HOSPITALITY FUN FOR ALL: Cruisin the Peninsula at Quail! Join members and friends of the MCHA for a casual get together on Thursday, August 27^th from 5:30 – 7:30 at Quail Lodge.

GOLF TOURNAMENT: Mark your calendars for 19^th Annual Nick Lombardo Memorial Golf Tournament on Tuesday, October 20 at Rancho Canada Golf Club. This is the best tournament all year….don’t miss it!

HOSPITALITY RECOGNITION LUNCH: Nominate and recognize our Employees! This years lunch is scheduled for Monday, November 9th at the Monterey Conference Center.
