My grandmother always said, “Fail to Plan, Plan to Fail,” and this year, these words have held true, working together while planning for the future, we have reached numerous achievements for our organization....

MEMBERSHIP: This year we have welcomed in 31 new members to MCHA. Membership is holding steady at 266 despite some rather tough economic times. Help our membership grow, if you know of someone who could benefit from being involved with MCHA please have him or her call Chidlaw Marketing at 641-0657.

GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS: My we live in interesting times! 2009 was an interesting year for the economy and for government affairs issues, to say the least. Now at the end of the year, there are good signs the recession is receding and a slow recovery is beginning. There are also signs that some critical local governmental issues may see resolution, or a good beginning of resolution, in 2010. Here’s a recap of where we stand at the end of 2009 and what we hope to see in 2010. |

EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION DAY: Save the date for the 14th Annual MCHA Employee Appreciation Day. On Tuesday May 25th 2010, MCHA holds the 14th Annual day of fun competition and the 2nd Annual Monterey Hospitality Soccer Tournament. Please note that the date is earlier this year which allows businesses to focus on The US Open, coming to town in June. |

19th ANNUAL NICK LOMBARDO MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT: A big thanks to our golf committee, sponsors and contributors in helping to make this one of our most successful golf tournaments! The tournament was held at the beautiful Rancho Canada Golf Course where PGA Director of Golf and VP, Todd Pontti and his staff set the stage for a smooth and well run tournament.
